Latvia is a member of the European Union since 2004 and will be the part of the Euro-Zone since 2014.
Historically, that Latvia has always been one of the main transit point for trade flows in a north – south and east-west. The geographical location of the country remains at the center of policy-relevant traffic, linking the world’s major economies such as the United States, European Union, Russia, the CIS countries and the Far East. Transit is one of the strongest industries in Latvia.
